Kuang Si Waterfall: The largest waterfall in Laos, Kuang Si cascades over three tiers before plunging 50 meters into clear turquoise pools, ideal for swimming and relaxing in a lush natural setting.

When to go

The best time to visit Laos is during the cool, dry season from November to January, when humidity is lower and temperatures are more comfortable. The wet season runs from June to October, bringing heavy rainfall and occasional flooding, especially along the Mekong River. From February to May, expect hotter, more humid weather with occasional thunderstorms. Year-round temperatures generally range between 28°C and 38°C.

The official currency is the Lao Kip (LAK), though the US Dollar is widely accepted in tourist areas. 

Language
Lao is the official language, with five main dialects spoken nationwide—Vientiane Lao being the most common. While French retains a historical presence, English is increasingly spoken, especially in urban and tourist areas.
